12月17日讯 2021年4月19日6点12分，AC米兰、阿森纳、马竞、切尔西、巴萨、国米、尤文、利物浦、曼城、曼联、皇马和热刺宣布组建欧洲超级联赛。

2021年4月21日4点23分，曼城首先宣布退出欧超，随后英超六队相继宣布退出欧超，国米、马竞和米兰也宣布退出欧超，最终欧超仅剩皇马、巴萨和尤文三家俱乐部。

2023年7月，尤文宣布退出欧超，最终欧超联赛创始12队仅剩皇马和巴萨。
